The Wolverine Bar Foundation, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit charitable organization, and The Wolverine Bar Association are excited to invite you to attend and sponsor the 61th Annual Barristers’ Ball on Saturday, April 29, 2023, at the Detroit Marriott Hotel at the Renaissance Center located on the banks of the majestic Detroit River.
The Barristers’ Ball is our signature black-tie charity fundraising gala. It includes a strolling dinner buffet and musical entertainment, and is attended by over 1500 supporters each year. This year’s theme is “Paradise Valley,” which celebrates and restores, for one night, that fabled entertainment and business district of old Detroit.
Your attendance and sponsorship of the Barristers’ Ball funds our programs and services, which include our student externships, internships, scholarships, education courses, and mentoring; as well as, legal information, education, and representation for the underrepresented. In other words, enjoying a night of fun and excitement at the Barrister’s Ball will help us create a lasting impact on the careers and success of the students we assist, and the African American community as a whole.
