The Barristers’ Ball Over the Years

The Wolverine Bar Foundation (WBF) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit charitable organization established in 1981 to administer scholarship funds for deserving students and support charitable initiatives benefiting both the Foundation and the Wolverine Bar Association (WBA).

Approximately twenty years ago, the Barristers’ Ball became a WBF-led program and has since grown into the primary fundraising event supporting the charitable programs and services of both the WBA and WBF. Beyond fundraising, the Barristers’ Ball fosters fellowship among African American attorneys, promotes their professional success, and strengthens relationships with other bar associations and attorneys.
